Located in the far Southwest of the island, Le Morne is home to the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site (Le Morne Cultural Landscape), which includes the famous Le Morne Brabant Peak. Guests who do this hike, ascending about 550m from the town of Le Morne, are treated to spectacular views of the entire Southwest of the island, and, if the time is right, an incredible sunrise. In addition, Le Morne Beach, with Le Morne peak in the background, is spectacular in its own right.
While the town of Le Morne itself is peaceful and sleepy, the area is home to some of the best hotels on the island. In addition, a short trip to the North will take you to the famous beaches of Flic en Flac and Tamarin. The area is close to the famous Chamarel 7-Coloured Earth, Chamarel Waterfall and Black River Gorge National Park. Without a doubt, some of the best nature on the island is located in the area surrounding Le Morne.
