Exploring the West Coast of Mauritius: Albion in Photos

The small fishing village of Albion is located on the west coast of Mauritius, just a few kilometres north of Flic en Flac.

Albion Public Beach

Although quiet during the week, the Albion public beach becomes quite lively on the weekends, with locals enjoying the traditional Sunday family picnics and the sega music.

The Lighthouse Viewpoint

Just a few minutes drive north from the public beach, there is a really cool rocky shore where locals like to fish or just sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean and the stunning lighthouse.

The Albion Lighthouse

And another few minutes drive north, and you will reach the Pointe aux Caves Lighthouse, also known as the Albion Lighthouse. Perched on top of stunning cliffs, this picturesque lighthouse, built in 1910 is still operational today.
